On Monday, July 29th, a few of our team members joined Texas City Independent School District for groundbreaking ceremonies on the sites of three future elementary schools: Guajardo Elementary School, Simms Elementary School and Hayley Elementary School. In 2018 Texas City ISD voters approved a $136.1 million school bond referendum to rebuild four schools within the district. These new schools will bring much needed improvements for the district and the local community, which was affected by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and required many students and teachers to relocate to temporary facilities.

The Texas City ISD groundbreaking ceremonies kicked off construction for the three elementary schools, with construction slated to begin in August 2019. The location for the site of a fourth school, La Marque Middle School, is expected to be announced soon.

Braun Intertec is proud to offer ourCMT servicesto our communities in Texas City and La Marque and help get students back into schools that were either damaged or demolished during Hurricane Harvey. Our team has significantexperiencewith flood damage and also offers geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, building and structural science and nondestructive examinations services to school districts impacted by flooding.
